I have been around bikes my whole life due to my dad racing them
So from a very young age I was riding around the fields on my first bike, which was a Suzuki JR50.
I got the bug and started tinkering with bikes back then, and have been riding every chance I could get since, having done all the bike related sports; Motocross, Track days and Trials. I left school at 15 and went straight into an apprenticeship at Fins Motorcycles. From there I achieved all my qualifications, and have been there for a further 15 years. As time went on my knowledge for bikes grew and grew, so I thought it was time to start my own business, and there was no one I would rather set up with than Charlie.
Myself and Charlie started buying and selling bikes from my shed, and also serviced a few bikes here and there. We became busier and decided together to take the plunge into opening a shop locally to where we live. We look forward to welcoming you to Billy's Motorcycles!
Being friends with Ashley for 23 years I have always been around motorbikes
The furthest I got in my younger years was riding his RM250 around the fields nearby and then on to a Gilera Runner moped at the age of 16.
Cars soon took over which I have had a long list of. Skip forward a good few years and the hunger for bigger bikes grew, we also both decided to live in Billingshurst. My work background is business/sales in and around the IT industry which led me to being self employed for a few years before Billy’s.
An opportunity came to light which meant Ashley and I had some spare money to buy and sell bikes. This simply lit the fire for many things, more bikes came and went which gave me more confidence riding bigger bikes (I mean I didn’t ride them, promise). The business grew so I went and did my full licence, from theory to full licence which took me 3 weeks. From there I decided to jump on a 1996 Honda CBR600F that we had up for sale to carry on learning how to ride. Billy’s Motorcycles is an exciting venture and between us we have business and trade experience. You’ll find me on a Triumph Daytona 675 track bike usually at Brands Hatch trying to stay upright! I can talk for England so I look forward to speaking with you all.
I have been around motorcycles my whole life and started riding at the age of 4. I was involved in trials and motorcross back in the day. I have worked in the trade for 31 years, the majority at fins motorcycles so you may reconise me from there. Funny story is I was Ashley’s manger at Fins for 15 years and now look whats happened!
I came to Billy’s in may 2021 after moving out of Redhill, still ride today on a custom built Harley Davidson. Now looking forward to watching Billy’s Motorcycles grow, see you all soon.
I have been around motorbikes my whole life thanks to my dad and have been riding bikes since my feet could touch the ground. I was very eager to fix motorbikes since I was young and it fast became a passion. I went to college and last year achieved a level 2 diploma in motorcycle maintenance and repair.
In April this year I started working at Billy’s motorcycles full time which I am extremely thankful for! My real name is angus but everyone calls me goose (not from top gun). I currently ride a KTM RC125 which I blew up riding around the Isle of Man TT course in 2022. You’ll usually find me at the popular meet up spots such as Whiteway’s or Ryka’s so do come and say HELLO.
I also own a SRAD which I hope to use as a track bike and get over taken by my bosses…..
We can't tell you how long we've been looking for a home for Billy's Motorcycles!
Too small, too big, too expensive, not the right area..just not quite right. Then one day someone we knew, who knew we were looking for a unit, saw a post on Facebook about a unit for hire. One minute we're tagged in it, the next we're signing on the dotted line.
The unit was a blank canvas for us. A canvas that took the best part of a week to paint! However we got to put our stamp on it, and as you can see from the gallery below, a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Thanks to all our friends and family who helped get us on the way.
We hope you'll join us on our journey and make Billy's Motorcycles your local, go to Motorcycle specialist and MOT Testing Centre.
